I admit, I don’t have much more hope for the upcoming elections than I did for those of 2004 or 2002. As before, the Democrats have staked their claim on the electorate on — what? Not being Republicans but voting just like them? Great inducement.
This year, though, it will probably have to be enough.

In 1948, President Harry S. Truman won the White House in large part due to his persistent attacks against a “Do-Nothing Congress.†Today, while an increasing number of Americans are voicing their disapproval of Congress, they also seem to be directing their unhappiness at President Bush.
