Ronald Russell, author of The Journey of Robert Monroe, spoke at The Quest bookstore in Charlottesville last night (Tuesday, 26th) and I caught him in this pensive moment. Russ lives in Scotland, so it isn’t every day that we see him.
While in the area, he has spoken to a couple of Monroe Institute programs and has signed some books there, and as I understand it will be returning there.
Perhaps you can see something of the intelligence and thoughtfulness that (in three and a half years of intensive labor) produced this book which I believe is the definitive biography of a man whose importance to the culture at large is not yet remotely understood.
Besides authoring this biography of his long-time friend, Russ is the author of three other Hampton Roads books: Using the Whole Brain, Focusing the Whole Brain, and The Vast Enquiring Soul.
He also edited, and thus made publishable, Bob Monroe’s final book, Ultimate Journey, which otherwise quite likely would never have seen print. That’s quite a lot of valuable stuff to have given to the world.
