So it’s goodbye to the smiling fascist.
It was a disgrace that he was ever appointed or confirmed, and another that he has never been called to task for his unbelievable record in his tenure in office.
Of course, that doesn’t even mention the one who appointed him, and those behind the one who appointed him.
And presumably with this lightning-rod gone, it will all be forgive and forget (and our constitutional rights will remain shredded) and a replacement will be named and all will go on, merrily downhill.

Sorry you think I’m full of venom. I think the the description of Gonzalez as a smiling fascist is accurate. You will notice that I don’t go around calling people fascists just because i disagree with their stands or because i don’t like them. But if he isn’t a fascist, what in the world is he? The rule of law is the only protection we have against government tyranny, and he has been as enthusiastic in shredding that protection as anyone in office. I truly think that he does not have a clue how much damage he has done or sanctioned. So to give him the benefit of the doubt i suppose i could call him the smiling unconscious fascist, but that hardly seems much of an improvement.
