I figured it would only be a matter of time — and not much time — before we got a photo of Jack Worthington. Here it is. The first story is from http://winnipegsun.com/News/Canada/2008/02/13/4844071.html
TORONTO — The identity of a British Columbia resident who claims to be the late U.S. president John Kennedy’s son has been revealed.
Jack Worthington told the Globe and Mail he was born Nov. 22, 1961, exacly two years before Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas.
Worthington says his mother’s family were lifelong political allies of Kennedy’s vice-president, Lyndon Johnson.
The Globe notes there is no proof of a connection between Worthington and Kennedy.
The New York Post reported last week that Vanity Fair magazine has been working on a story about the case for months but has held off publishing at the request of the late president’s brother, U.S. Senator Edward Kennedy.
Worthington said his motive for coming forward is a “profound duty I feel to do the right thing.â€

JFK’s alleged son describes himself as ‘Rosetta Stone’ for 1960s history

VANCOUVER — Jack Worthington, the alleged love child of former U.S. president John F. Kennedy, suggests there is more at stake around revelations of his existence than mere biology or voyeuristic interest.
“My existence is a potential Rosetta Stone for a confusing period of American history, and not the main story itself,” Worthington said yesterday. (The Rosetta Stone was the key to understanding the hieroglyphic writing of the ancient Egyptians).
The idea that Worthington — who was born on Nov. 22, 1961, two years to the day before the assassination of JFK — might be a missing piece to enduring mysteries of Kennedy’s life and death will no doubt galvanize the world.
John Fitzgerald Kennedy was assassinated on Nov. 22, 1963 — two years to the day after the birth of the man who now claims to be his son.
Since the New York Post published an item last week revealing that Vanity Fair had killed a controversial story on an unnamed man living in B.C. who is said to be an unknown son of JFK, the world media have descended on the Lower Mainland.
It’s been a nerve-racking week, said Worthington, who praised Canadian news outlets for their discretion.
Worthington wants to protect his family. He also feels a fierce loyalty to author David Friend and photographer Harry Benson, who, along with major investigative teams, have toiled for over a year for Vanity Fair on what is an “extraordinarily sensitive” and “deeply researched” story.
“I’ve had the paparazzi people sneaking around the house, taking photos at night,” said Worthington, an American married to a Canadian woman. They have a handful of young children.
Worthington said that part of the Vanity Fair article — which is being held pending verification of his identity — is “related to the rise of LBJ [Lyndon Baines Johnson, Kennedy's successor as president] and the fall of JFK, which is an extraordinarily sensitive topic to Americans.”
He said he supports the “justifiable prudence” the magazine is taking, which includes seeking DNA evidence before going to print.
Worthington, whose resemblance to the former U.S. president is so uncanny as to be almost eerie, said he has found the sudden spotlight disturbing.
“I’m a human,” he said. “I haven’t been managing my life for extreme public scrutiny. One day you’re average Joe, and the next day the whole world is pouring into your life.”
