The buzz keeps on building on Midnights with the Mystic! Cheryl and Sadhguru have been signing books and discussing their experiences tirelessly ever since Midnights was published this past April. For all of you eagerly anticipating Hampton Roads Publishing’s upcoming Fall 2008 season, I just finished posting all of the new books in our bookstore. You can browse through and take a look at some of the exciting things we have in store. It is going to be a big season for us, with the addition of two world famous authors to our growing family, Eckhart Tolle and Newt Gingrich.
Eckhart Tolle, one of Oprah’s new favorites, is bringing his powerful message of the Power of Now to a whole new audience–children–with Milton’s Secret. Along with one of Hampton Roads’ co-founders, Robert S. Friedman, he has written a beautiful parable on enlightenment and happiness specifically for young readers. Any fan of The Power of Now or A New Earth will recognize Tolle’s message in the adventures and lessons learned by young Milton. With gorgeous illustrations by Frank Riccio, this will be wonderful addition to any family’s library, as well as a useful teaching tool. Hampton Roads is proud to be a part of the phenomenon that is Eckhart Tolle’s message of living in the now, and we hope you and  your family will enjoy Milton’s Secret.
We are just as excited about Newt Gingrich and his daughter, Jackie Gingrich Cushman, bringing their new travel guide to Hampton Roads. Inspired by Newt’s Rediscovering God in America, In God We Trust, continues on with his search for God in the capital of the United States, but in an easy-to-follow tour book. Each chaper focuses on a particular national historic treasure in Washington, DC, providing visitor information on the sites, as well as beautiful photographs and a tri-fold map. You will be able to tour DC with a new insight into the Founding Fathers’ plan for our great country. Again, another great addition for a family’s book collection.
