     I could not put down Ruby until I finished reading it. This powerful and inspiring
story of synchronicity and love is filled with intrigue and mystery. Ruby is the story of a
woman who finds the synchronicities in her life so compelling she begins to believe
there is something happening that is bigger than herself and what she knows. Set in the
countryside outside Chicago, the story describes an ordinary businesswoman who encounters
extraordinary events.
     I love visionary fiction, because it is an opportunity to introduce metaphysics and
spirituality in a nonthreatening way to people new to such ideas. The main character in
Ruby is quite a skeptic herself! And for those of us tiring of all the how-to books, Ruby is
a refreshing sojourn into the world some of us know as real.
     Mary Summer Rain has written more than 20 books, including her famous No-
Eyes series, Earthway, and the novel The Seventh Mesa. The cover of Ruby looks fairly
mainstream, even as it hints at the mystical. Ruby can be placed in your fiction
section and displayed with Rain’s nonfiction books. It is a great gift idea for customers
