I picked this book up on a whim. I haven't read much on UFOs, but I've had nightmares about aliens since I was a kid, and I was curious to see what Lisette had to say.

I was surprised by this book. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it wasn't this! Her writing is permeated by a sense of honesty, logic, curiosity, love, intelligence, and openness. By the time I finished reading this book, my conscious attitudes towards the "scary aliens" in my dreams had changed. I no longer have alien nightmares.

One of the most surprising things I got out of this book was an increased sense of perspective about our global culture. I try to be a compassionate and tolerant person--lots of us do--but how many of us would be willing to exhibit these same qualities towards intelligent species, should we ever meet them? I've always thought that the media portrayal of extraterrestrials is silly, but after reading this book I felt much more aware of how deeply our culture fears the very concept of extraterrestrials. If humans still have serious racism issues, how can we possibly expect to have open and rational attitudes in encounters with beings from other parts of the universe?

This book truly has something valuable in it for all seekers; you don't have to "believe in aliens" to get something out of it.
