Dr. Botkin's new book is fascinating, not only for the apparent therapeutic results he obtains, but also due to the profound spiritual implications of his work.

The book details a method he discovered for healing the grief and sense of loss which often accompanies extreme trauma, death of a loved one, or other significant loss. Through a new version of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) he has spent the past ten years helping clients have what appears to be intimate emotional and spiritual reconnections with their departed loved ones. These encounters are so immediate and powerful that the clients sense of grief and loss, sometimes decades old, almost instantly is removed. These results aeem to occur whether or not the client was expecting them, and irrespective of any belief in the hereafter.

As a clinical psychologist who is also EMDR trained, I found his book to be simply riveting. Healing profound grief and loss is never a simple matter, and Botkin's clients seem more than merely better, they are transformed by their encounters and have a deeply felt sense of connection with the departed which continues to sustain them while instantly healing accompanying emotions such as anger and guilt.

In all a valuable work which may become one of the most significant in the field. Highly recommended!
