Freeing the Captives
The Emerging Therapy of Treating Spirit Attachment
by: Louise Ireland-Frey, M.D.
Spirit Possession: a frightening phenomenon known since ancient times. Possession is now more often seen by modern science as being the product of ignorance and superstition. But more and more we hear stories of “attached entities” and “demonic possession.” Are we reverting to the “dark ages” of ignorance as many scientists feel or is science wrong?
Dr. Louise Ireland-Frey became involved quite suddenly with this paradox in the later years of her medical career when she was working as a hypnotherapist. Confronted with this unusual phenomenon she was only able to describe it as spirit possession. Already interested in metaphysics and psychic manifestations, she plunged into this new world, discovering that “attached” entities occur quite commonly in patients experiencing mental, emotional, and physical distress. As a result of these encounters, Dr. Ireland-Frey developed highly successful techniques collectively known as Spirit Releasement Therapy.
Freeing the Captives shares many cases of spirit attachment and release, discussing types of “invisibles,” and how they can be responsible for any number of disorders. Continuing to expand our knowledge of mental and physical disorders that was first explored by Dr. Shakuntala Modi in her ground-breaking Remarkable Healings (Hampton Roads, 1998), Dr. Ireland-Frey examines past life “splintering” and soul retrieval. She also reveals how to communicate with entities and see them as living expressions rather than simply as roadblocks to health and well-being.
Freeing the Captives is one doctor’s testament to accepting that there is more to the process of healing than current medical thought allows. Dr. Ireland-Frey’s experience and success gives a clear picture of the existence, consequences, and treatment of spirit possession.
