Deepak Chopra says, I have admired Russell Targs
insights into consciousness for many years. He has (not only)
a scientific mind but also a great experimental
understanding of spirituality.
The End of Suffering: Fearless Living in Troubled Times is a crossover book of Eastern wisdom, self-help, consciousness research, and quantum physics. This is the seventh book co-authored by physicist and consciousness researcher Targ and the tenth for spiritual teacher Hurtak. It offers a guide to peacefulness based on the teachings of a second-century genius named Nagarjuna, whom the Dalai Lama has described as one of the truly enlightened people of all time. Nagarjuna taught that most things are neither true nor not true, and the authors have successfully woven that logic together with findings from psychical research, the teachings of the mystics, and mindfulness techniques to show that we all have the potential for joy and expanded awareness.
The authors caution us not to allow color-coded threat levels to make us fearful. This book demonstrates that the dualistic logic of Aristotle is a significant source of suffering today. It is through his writings on non-contradiction that we are falsely taught that we and the Divine are separate, rather than one. It leads people to say absurd dualistic things like, "Those who are not with us are with the terrorists.
A timely treatment of timeless wisdom with an original bent, the book shows step-by-step how we can learn to surrender the story of who we think we are and experience the end of our suffering. The authors' goal is to provide direct experience of the fact that the peace, love, and spaciousness we are all looking for is already within us: it is who we are. We create the conditioned suffering by our desire to defend our stories--our business cards so to speak--and our picture of who we think we are. This inspiring book is written in easy-to-understand language, making it highly useful for everyone looking for a deeper understanding of their own consciousness.
