The Unanswered Question
Death, Near-Death, and the Afterlife
by Kurt Leland

When 13 Million Americans Had Near-Death Experiences
What Did They Really See?

Near-death experiences have been recorded in the folklore, religious, and social literature of the world.  Accounts of near-death experiences have been gathered from cultures as diverse as Native American, Tibetan, Japanese, Melanesian, Micronesian, Egyptian, Chinese, East Indian, African, European, and North American.

According to near-death researcher Kenneth Ring there does not appear to be any relationship between, on one hand, an individual's spirituality and religious practices, and on the other hand, the likelihood of experiencing a near-death experience or the depth of the ensuing experience.

So what is everyone seeing, and is it what we can really expect after death? Kurt Leland researched the near-death experience two ways: he used all of the classic literature and wisdom teachings about death, and as a psychic, he did his own exploring of the after-death realms. What he learned will be shocking to some, controversial to many, and a source of comfort for others.

 How can one visit the after-death realms while alive?
 What happens to suicides?
 What do angels do?
 Are there different realms for different religions?
