CONVERSATIONS WITH GOD

SNEAK PREVIEW EVENT HOSTED BY

UNITY CHURCH

(Charlottesville) - Unity Church is pleased to announce its participation in the sneak preview weekend of CONVERSATIONS WITH GOD on Sunday, October 22 in Unity's brand new sanctuary at 2825 Hydraulic Road.  The film opens in theaters nationwide on the weekend of October 27th.

Adapted from the books by Neale Donald Walsch that inspired and changed the lives of millions worldwide, CONVERSATIONS WITH GOD, tells the true story of Walsch who, at the lowest point in his life, asks God some very hard questions.  The answers he gets from God/within become the foundation of an internationally acclaimed book series that has sold over 7 million copies and been translated into 34 languages.  The film chronicles the dramatic journey of a down and out man who inadvertently becomes a spiritual messenger and bestselling author.

The film will be shown in the Unity Church sanctuary at 1:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.  Tickets are $10 per person and can be purchased at the door.

PAGE TWO – Conversations With God

"CONVERSATIONS WITH GOD is the first in a series of Spiritual Cinema films we"ll be showing in our new church,” says Rev. Don Lansky, co-minister of Unity Church with his wife Patricia.  “It’s a compelling, emotional and dramatic movie that shares deep spiritual messages without proselytizing.”

Over the past decade, the author of CONVERSATIONS WITH GOD, Neale Donald Walsh, received many offers to turn his book and life story into a movie.  He finally went with veteran Hollywood producer Stephen Simon (SOMEWHERE IN TIME, WHAT DREAMS MAY COME).

Just five years before publication of CONVERSATIONS WITH GOD, Walsch was homeless, with a broken neck, and living in a park.  He spent his days collecting cans to sell for 5 cents each just to have enough money to eat.  His book was finally published by a local Charlottesville company, Hampton Roads.
