Allan L. Botkin, Psy.D. has discovered a new therapy
for healing grief and trauma.
Induced After Death Communication: a New Therapy for Healing Grief and Trauma (ISBN 1-57174-423-1) presents the story of Dr. Botkin’s initial discovery of Induced After Death Communication (IADC) during a therapy session with Sam, a Vietnam vet haunted by the memory of a Vietnamese girl he could not save. Quiet unexpectedly, Sam saw a vision of the girl’s spirit, who told him that she was okay and at peace now. This instantaneous moment supplanted months, if not years, of therapy, and allowed Sam to heal and reconnect with his family. Botkin has gone on to create the Center for Grief and Traumatic Loss, and to teach this procedure to therapists around the country thus helping thousands of grieving people.
Induced After Death Communication (IADC) uses an altered version of EMDR therapy to enable people to have private communication with their deceased loved ones. Dr. Botkin is a clinical therapist who has specialized in treating patients with post-traumatic stress disorder for over two decades. He discovered this highly effective treatment accidentally while counseling Vietnam veterans at a North Chicago VA hospital.
This book includes the cases of 84 patients who have experienced IADC therapy’s profound healing effects. It has the potential to give grieving people and their therapist a profound way new way to heal from loss of loved ones.
Bruce Greyson, M.D., Professor of Psychiatric Medicine at University of Virginia School of Medicine has said, “Dr. Botkin has hit upon a fascinating and powerful tool that may not only help his clients cope with their losses, but also breaks new ground in understanding life and death.”
Linda Harper, Ph.D., said—“the book provides readers with a whole new way of thinking about and experiencing our relationships and our lives”.
