Memories of God and Creation
Remembering from the Subconscious Mind

by: Shakuntala Modi, M.D.

The creation of the universe and before—cosmic events that both science and religion have sought to explain and understand since mankind first began to think beyond its own narrow existence.  What if the answers to these cosmic questions were buried deep in our own subconscious—within a universal memory that crosses boundaries of space and time?  Is it possible to unlock these primal memories and recall creation itself?  Yes, says Dr. Shakuntala Modi, M.D., and in her new book Memories of God and Creation: Remembering from the Subconscious Mind Dr. Modi continues to advance her provocative theory of time—past, present, and future—as explored in her first book Remarkable Healings: A Psychiatrist Discovers Unsuspected Roots of Mental and Physical Illness (Hampton Roads Publishing, 1997).

A practicing psychiatrist in West Virginia, Dr. Modi first encountered “cosmic memories” when many of her patients, under hypnosis, began to regress to a time before creation—when there was only God. Startled by the depth and profundity of these memories, Dr. Modi began to question her patients about the nature of the universe, with surprisingly similar answers. Although coming from diverse religious, socioeconomic, cultural, and educational backgrounds, the information they received under hypnosis was—patient after patient—the same. They report, among other things, what it is like to be one with God, how it was when the decision was made to create individual souls and universes for them to inhabit, how evil originated, the creation of angels, “masters”, and human souls, and what it is like to die and return to heaven.  They also reveal that this wisdom, previously given to only a few select prophets, is now available to anyone who desires it and is ready to receive it.

Memories of God and Creation is a scientific investigation into what the average person can remember, deep within themselves when interviewed under hypnosis. As each patient’s story is told more evidence is presented which shows that everyone has access to a vast cosmic “memory bank” and can recall what it is like to be one with God. It challenges us with a radical proposition, that everyone can remember the universe from a time and condition before they underwent their individual incarnation.  Memories of God and Creation is also an amazing and grand history of the soul—who we are, where we came from, why and how our soul was created, why we are here and why we reincarnate. This is an astonishing step forward in human evolution toward enlightenment and freedom.
